What is a Tupperware party?
When I began my Tupperware business year ago, we had no products that were designed for demonstrating food prep/cooking. Literally everything was either food storage or serving, The big WOW factor was when we would fill a wonderlier bowl with water, seal and burp it, and then toss it around to show how it was leak proof!
In the 80’s Tupperware introduced a line that went into the oven. It was called Ultra 21, which was the precursor for our current Ultra Pro. How exciting it was to make DUMP CAKE at our parties. We’d dump a can of pie filling, sprinkle cake mix and dot with butter and bake in the oven.
In the 90’s, we introduced the Stack Cooker. Soon we were wowing people with 3 course stacked meals, 10 minute cakes and 25 minute roast chickens. It coincided with the introduction of the FOOD NETWORK, which has created such an interest in all things related to food. As Tupperware introduced more and more prep products and products like the Pressure Cooker, Smart MultiCooker and MicroPro Grill, we have truly become a company that helps save time and money while putting nutritious meals on the table.
Fast forward to the last decade. Social Media has truly changed the way we connect with people. For about 7 years there have been Tupperware Consultants that have been using social media to build a successful business. As we look at our current social distancing guidelines, many of you are now realizing that using technology is an incredible way to show how our product can truly make a difference for someone’s kitchen experience. I’m so proud of how quickly so many of you have had to learn new things as we use technology to connect with customers. Last week we were just $500 short of matching the same week/last year’s sales. THAT AMAZING!
So think of this: WHAT IF, we never embraced food demonstrations? We’d still be tossing bowls at our parties! Actually, we’d be out of business had we not changed! We still have the best storage products as well, including FridgeSmart, FreezerMates and Modular Mates, but imagine a life without our Magical Microwave products! So…my challenge to all of you is to step out of your comfort zone and join in on one of our upcoming ZOOM events that will help you bring the magic of Tupperware into your customer’s homes, without violating social distancing guidelines! You may find that by embracing technology you can hold far more parties than you could if you were only holding traditional parties. This could totally transform your business/income. Will you have to learn some new skills? Absolutely. But together we can help you navigate thorough this uncharted waters!
Today, many people are needing socialization. By inviting people to join these events, you are giving them an opportunity to connect with people in a safe way. This might be their only human interaction for the week. Additionally, there are others that are looking for a way to replace a lost income. Your invitation to join our team may be an answer to their prayers.
Lastly, here’s the important piece…no matter how you choose to party, host coaching is the most important part of the success of the business. Below are two letters that you can use to give to hosts with upcoming events.
